ACTIVITY: Planning and the Needs and Goals of Communication


LEARNING TARGET: Determine the behavior of social media that describes you the
most and create a possible ICT Project / Product based on the audience profile they have
of the group.
Part 1: Planning and Conceptualizing an ICT project
Answer the following questions: (5 points each)
1. Which among the different behaviors of social media describes you the most?
Explain your answers (2 social media behaviors).
I am a person who is vocal in my opinion. I am frank and I say what I think is just and
right. Hence, every time I see a post or comment that does not embody the truth or fact,
then I try to correct it. This relates to another social media behavior of mine- the informer.
Since I share some factual information and reference to justify my response to others’
posts, it reflects my behavior as an informer. I want others to know the facts and I don’t
want fake news or disinformation to spread amidst this pandemic. To sum up, my two
social behaviors are the ranter and the informer which are interconnected to one another.

‘The Medium' from the name itself, is a podcast app that will serve as a way and
platform for known personalities to showcase their creative interests and even
advocacies. Considering the demographic of the chosen group which consists of
ages below 60 and citizens that are highly exposed to social media and as
reported, Filipinos, Americans, and Australians are one of the nationalities that love
to use social media frequently, hence this technological service app will be very
applicable for them as it will give a platform for their interests namely singing,
dancing, fashion, and modeling that the current generations would greatly
appreciate. Besides, many are now using the concept of the podcast to
disseminate information and of course, virtual interviewing became the so-called
'now normal.' In regards to political views, ‘The Medium’ can also serve as a
channel for them to explain their opinions and possibly programs for the people.
This app would share their voices, expressions, campaigns, and advocacies to the
audience through live talk shows, and pre-recorded videos.
