DIRECTIONS for Flight Experience in Front Seat
1) Please make sure all your belongings are secure. Unnecessary items (ex. coins, keys,
accessories, pens, wallets) should be left on ground. If you bring something in your
pockets, please make sure zip the pockets closed.
2) Please do not step on main wings direct with your shoes on. A protection mat will be
spread on the wing when you get in the cockpit.
3) Please do NOT step on the floor. Step on the seat and slide in.
4) Please tighten your seat belt as tight as possible.
5) Please do NOT touch the canopy. It is very sensitive. You have small clearance
between your head and canopy. Please be careful NOT to touch the canopy when you
move your hands.
6) Please make sure you are not blocking control of the plane. Rudder pedals of rear seat
are just next to your seat. Check your controls you have full.
7) Use the PTT switch for InterCom, red button on the throttle to talk with rear pilot.
Please do NOT press the black button on the top of the stick, it is PTT switch for radio
communication.
8) Please leave all controls free during the plane below 1,000ft AGL including on the
ground. The pilot in rear seat take control below 1,000ft AGL.
9) Please call out “I(You) have control” to make sure who is the pilot flying. The rear
pilot always try to call out when he move the control during you are flying. However
it is difficult to call out when quick input is needed to recover, so when you feel
intentional control input from rear seat, please let it go as the rear pilot wants.
10) The intercom mic of front seat may catch the wind noise and block communication.
Please try to cover your mic from the wind. The wind noise will block not only
intercom but also radio communication of rear seat. When you see three wing wags to
left, take your communication plugs off from the cockpit jack. You may try to pull out
the mic plug first then at least you may have hearing if it works.
11) Please do NOT touch canopy handle unless you are sure about rear pilot is incapable
to use his canopy handle. The handle works as canopy jettison handle during flight.
12) In case of ejection from the plane, the rear pilot will call out “Eject. Eject. Eject” and
jettison canopy. Please take OFF your HEADSET, unlatch seat belt BUCKLES, and
jump out from the plane. Do NOT pull your D-ring until you are stabilized and clear
from the plane.
VISUAL REFERENCE OF THE COCKPIT
The front seat is used for Flight Experience

All Engine instruments and NAV/COM are located in rear cockpit

2500 RPM, MAP 25 inch will be used for flight experience. Throttle, Prop and Mixture will be
adjusted by the rear pilot during the front pilot is flying.
Front Cockpit
Communication jacks are located on right side frame next to your right knee. The throttle lever is on
left side, white ball shape knob with a small red button. The control stick has a black press-to-talk
button for radio on top. Please do NOT press PTT button for radio during you are in the cockpit.

Air Speed Indicator on the left side, Altimeter on the right side of instrument panel.
Throttle lever has a Press-To-Talk switch for InterCom (a red small button on the top). The PTT
switch activates mics of both seats at the same time for InterCom while you (or rear pilot) are
pressing.

Three position fuel selector is located right side of the seat. 9 o’clock position for main acro tank is
used during aerobatics. 12 o’clock position for wing tanks is used when the plane has gas in those
tanks. Please be careful NOT to touch this. If you accidentally move this cock halfway, fuel supply
might shut down.
Hooker Harness
Hooker Harness system is installed in this plane. It has two waist belt, one negative-G strap and two
shoulder harnesses. Waist belts should be hooked with metal rings of shoulder harnesses and
negative-G strap. Upper waist belt has a stainless steel ratchet to tighten the belt.

To release the ratchet, pinch the ratchet tab against the handle and open the ratchet to the end,
approx. 180 degree. In case of eject, you don’t have to touch this ratchet, just release the hooks of
waist belts.
