RULES FOR PREPARING INTERNSHIP DIARY

The Students shall mandatorily prepare a comprehensive date wise diary to maintain a
record of the internship and at the end of the internship, interns will be required
to submit the same. Pages must be properly dated. It must contain the following:-

(a) Daily schedule.


(b) No. of cases attended & the nature of case.
(c) Briefs of the cases dealt. (Must include Ratio Decendie) Student’s shall
use factious names and not supposed to use original names of parties.
(d) Dissenting judgment, if any.
(e) Daily observations about legal processes.
(f) Activities of the day (if not visiting courts)/Chamber work.
(g) Daily observations about social implications of proceedings or issues
attended.
(h) Learning of the day (2 to 3 lines).

Rules for Submission of Internship Diary:


1. Internship diary prepared within 15 days of reopening of the next semester.

2. The student should bring a certificate of completion from the


Organization of internship duly signed by the Supervising Official with seal and
signature.

3. The certificate must be obtained on the official letterhead, duly signed and
stamped, specifying the training period and observations regarding the conduct of the
candidate.

4. The students shall get filled the Evaluation sheet from the Advocate/Firm in
prescribed manner and handover the same separately to Internship Incharge.

5. Internship Diary shall be handwritten and shall submit hard copy of same to
Universality
Presentation on Internship

The students will be expected to make a presentation based on work done during the
internship. The presentation should contain the following:
A. Name of the organization.
B. Certificate of internship.
C. Acknowledgment.
D. List and classification of all the cases attended as per the following format:-
a. General provisions involved.
b. Legal content/legal issues.
c. No. of decisions delivered by the organizations.
d. No. of cases appealed in Higher Court.
E. Classification of cases attended.
a. No. of criminal cases.
b. No. of civil cases.
c. Family law disputes, etc.
d. All other matters dealt by the organization.
F. Learning’s of important legal points.
G. Learning relating to proceedings.
H. Reason for dissenting opinion.
I. Social impact of cases handled during the internship.
J. Learning of client handling.
K. Learning relating to client counseling. (knowledge acquired with
reference to client counseling)
L. Skills acquired during the internship
CODE OF CONDUCT
The students should observe the following guidelines while their training:
1) Adhere to a formal dress code.

2) Be punctual in attendance.

3) Avail leave only if authorized by the Internship Head/Internship


Supervisor/Advocate.

4) Adhere to the company's policies/rules and strictly adhere to them.

5) Use appropriate professional language in communication network place.

6) Avoid any conduct that may cause embarrassment or disrepute to the


school or organization.

7) Assure that all actions and behaviors promote the favorable image of the
organization.

8) Not taking any action which disrupts the normal functioning of the
organization.

9) Follow all the guidelines and policies of the organization as specified from
time to time during the tenure of training.
10) Concentrate on assignments and complete the allotted individual tasks on
time.
11) Maintain strict confidentiality of the case information.
12) Maintain cordial relationship and be polite with the organization
employees and authorities.

13) Do not misuse facilities offered by the organization.

14) Never leave the office without prior permission from the concerned
authorities.
15) Strict actions will be taken against the students upon receipt of any
complaints.
16) Students are strictly instructed to maintain the privacy of case study.
Students are not supposed to disclose the information of any case to third persons.
Students are also advice to never use the original name of the litigants in internship
diaries as well.
