OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this policy is to protect the Company, its clients and data from any event that may threaten the
security and integrity of (the company) work environment, ensure safe work environment and to help assess the
qualification and suitability of an applicant for a position.

SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY


This policy is applicable to the HR department of the organization

POLICY STATEMENTS
1.1 BACKGROUND CHECK POLICY

 Employees shall undergo a post-employment background check according to the background check
procedure. This is done on a need basis.
 The background investigation may reveal certain information that may disqualify the employee from further
consideration for the position. The background check will include verification of all the information
provided by the employee in his resume.
 Disciplinary action to be taken on the employee on the basis of information revealed by the background
investigation must be reviewed and approved by the Chief Operations Officer.
 Access to the background investigation details shall be limited to the HR or their designees at the
organization.

1.2 CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

 All employees, contractors and third parties vendors of the company shall sign a confidentiality agreement
as part of their initial terms and condition of employment/contract. Confidentiality Agreement shall include
employee’s responsibility for information security and state disciplinary measures to be taken in case of
security policy violations.

1.3 SECURITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING

 Information security training shall be incorporated into the training program of the employees/contractors

1.4 EMPLOYEE ROLE CHANGE

 Employee role change information will be provided to IT team for change of required accesses and
privileges.

1.5 EMPLOYEE SEPARATION

 Employee separation information will be provided to IT team for disabling of accesses and other privileges.

1.6 EMPLOYEE DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

 Information Security violations by employees or contractors will be investigated promptly and suitable
disciplinary action will be taken.
