PURPOSE OF UNIFORM
Uniform is worn to :-
Show that we belong to and support the Girls’ Brigade and is a
constant
reminder to us.
Indicate rank.
Help to create and maintain discipline.
Give a smart appearance on parade.
Help to give a feeling of responsibility and team spirit.
Bring the Brigade to the notice of the public.

Wearing the Uniform
UNIFORM should be worn correctly.
The uniform should be COMPLETE, or not worn at all.
The CAP should always be put on except during such less formal
occasions as refreshment times.
Caps, when not worn, may be placed, folded with top of the cap on
top, on the left shoulder under the epaulette with opening facing inward
and the front tip with the badge inside the breast pocket.
No jewellery may be worn with the uniform except wedding and
engagement rings.
Watches that are not too fanciful may be worn.
Officers may use make-up discreetly.
All long hair below collar length must be tied up neatly off the
shoulders.
Only black ribbons may be used for tying the hair.
