1. Why do you think cultural relativism is important in humanity? Let’s do an activity

In the first rectangle you need to put your own beliefs regarding to morality and the other one is for
someone you need to interview about his/her own beliefs regarding to morality. Let us see if you have a
similarity and a difference.

For you, what is your own definition of Morality?

Morality is something that we must have. To understand the things that we need to do and don’t
need to do. Knowing what is wrong and right this refers to what is seen right and acceptable by
society. The vast majority of people act decently and adhere to society norms.

According to some philosophers, religion cannot be the basis of morality. For example, the concept of
homosexuality or being gay and lesbian, according to some churches it is immoral. Do you agree? And
why?

Yes I agree that the religion is not the basis of morality. Because morality starts on us, on how we, the
person can be good to others, to know what is good and bad. We can learn this by our self without the
help of a religion. There are some instances that a person who is always go to the church every Sunday
but they still they do something bad to others. So that’s why religion is not the basis of morality, it’s
start within our self.
