Inline Demagnetization System


Background:
In steel mills, steel products transported with DC electromagnetic lifters will be magnetized and left with a
strong and unevenly distributed residue magnetism after transportation. DC electromagnetic lifters
generates a strong residue magnetism deep inside and AC demagnetization coils are not able to
effectively the eliminate it due to skin effect. Therefore, several coils with DC magnetization, DC
demagnetization and AC demagnetization coils need to be used together to demagnetize the parts.

DeMAG-Line Series Systems:


CHiNDT DeMAG-Line Series Systems are customized inline demagnetization systems used to reduce
the residue magnetism left in steel products, i.e. square bars, pipes, rails, etc. It is composed by DC MAG
Coil, DC DeMAG Coil, AC DeMAG Coil, control system and AC current frequency converter. Generally,
the systems works with rollers to move the parts through the DeMAG coils.
