The school Ilocos Norte Regional School of Fisheries is currently located at Brgy. 32-B, La
Paz West, Laoag City with an enrolment of 666 learners from the five barangays of Metro La
Paz namely, Brgy. 32-A, 32-B, 32-C, 33-A, and 33-B. It is manned by the School Principal IV
Susan A. Mariano, Asst. Principal II Virgilio G. Negre, Jr., Head Teachers Efren D. Marcos and
Librada Levy J. Domingo, 20 teachers from the Junior High School, 5 teachers from the
Senior High School and and 21 support staff performing various works relative to
agrifishery.
It was established in 1969 as a Barangay High School housed at La Paz, Elementary School.
It offered secondary education until 1977. Mr. Rodrigo P. Allado, became the Officer-In-
Charge from June 14, 1977 to April 1, 1980 followed by Mr. Fernando C. Domingo,
Officer-In-Charge, from April 2, 1980 to August 6, 1980.
Under the scorching heat of the sun, the learners continued to strive under the
leadership of the following administrators:
Since 2016, INRSF had been offering Senior High School deepening the skills and
competencies of learners in Fish Culture and Fish/Food Processing. As of the current school
year, there are 161 SHS learners.
