Letter of application

Dear Mrs Hopkins,

I am writing in response to your advertisement, which I found in the local newspaper,
because I would like to join you and your group on your world trip.

I am particularly interested in this position as I am very fascinated in areas such as learning

about different cultures, languages and the way of life that people have in different countries
and would therefore have the opportunity to combine my interests with this trip.

I would be well suited for this position due to my excellent language and geography skills. I
am fluent in different languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Latin. I also
have a degree in geography, which makes me an excellent candidate. Although I have no
travelling experience, I am a quick learner and can maintain calm under pressure.
