ASWADH

IIM Trichy is one of the fastest-growing management institutions in India. With world-class facilities and best-
in-class Faculties, students are provided with almost everything to make them competent for highly demanding
positions. Still, sometimes students struggle when they enter the workforce. There are two primary reasons.
1. Some students lack clarity about the domain in which they want to work. They are not sure about the
nature of work in different disciplines. It leads to a lack of vision and inadequate preparation.
2. Although the faculties are high quality, the syllabus covers everything; all the crucial resources are at
disposal; there is a gap between what is currently trending in the industry in which current students
aspire to work. The reason is fast-changing industry dynamics.
Alums can be a very effective source of solutions for the problems mentioned above. They are currently
working in different industries, so they are familiar with the current expectations and required skillsets for the
present scenario. They can provide excellent insights about the industry, the job roles, and the necessary
skillset. They can help students get more clarity and hence a competitive edge over the students of other B-
Schools.
Our alumni can act as “Krishna” for young “Arjun”s of IIM Trichy. They can guide, motivate and inspire the
current students and boost the skillset and hence the competence of our students for roles in this highly
competitive and dynamic industry. The Alumni committee’s initiative of organizing guest lectures by Alumni
should be named “Aswadh.” (Aswadh is one of the many names of Lord Krishna, which means the tree of
knowledge)
