ARTIFACT: Our chosen category is books and our example is the Codex Sinaiticus, a fourth- century

Christian manuscript of a Greek Bible that contains most of the Greek Old Testament and Greek New
Testament written in uncial the majuscule script commonly used in the 4 th- 8th century AD to write Greek
and Latin. This manuscript was written by Hermas, an enslaved Christian who was given his freedom,
became wealthy, lost his property, and did penance for his past sins. Codex Sinaiticus was one of the
crucial instruments that were used in reconstructing the Christian’s Bible that are used widely
nowadays.

SOCIOFACT: In my own opinion the old and new testaments in this manuscript was mostly used by the
society as a guide to their daily lives and Christians and Catholics followed and studied this testament as
they worship the God that they believed in. It also united the society in a religious way by going into
churches and attending masses to further develop their knowledge about the word of God. It also
served as a salvation for those people that has been going through difficult times, the testaments
enlightened them to believe in God’s plan and live a life of doing good deeds and being faithful to the
God that they worship.

MENTIFACT- I think people worship the testaments in the manuscript to ease the burden of their
problems or seek salvation in the so- called word of God since it has a lot of meaningful advices,
thoughts, and wisdom to help them visualize a better side of their lifestyle. People also adore these
beliefs and use them in most decision making and use it as an assistance to making the right decisions in
their lives.

EDUCATIONAL IMPACT- I believe that this mentifact would help me in finishing the course that I have
chosen and help me when I’m struggling to finish something, it would serve as a light in a dark tunnel
that would give me hope and courage to take on the problems that I will encounter while going this path
towards a successful future. It would also serve as a reminder that everything is on God’s plan that He
won’t give you a problem that you cant solve and that problem was given to help you grow stronger and
wiser.
