Introductory Message
Welcome to STVEP 7 – (Internet and Computing Fundamentals)!

The Learning Activity Sheet is a product of the collaborative efforts of the


Schools Division of Iloilo and DepEd Regional Office VI - Western Visayas through
the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD). This is developed to
guide the learning facilitators (teachers, parents and responsible adults) in helping
the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

The Learning Activity Sheet is self-directed instructional materials aimed to


guide the learners in accomplishing activities at their own pace and time using the
contextualized resources in the community. This will also assist the learners in
acquiring the lifelong learning skills, knowledge and attitudes for productivity and
employment.

For learning facilitator:

The STVEP 7 – (Internet and Computing Fundamentals) Learning


Activity Sheet will help you facilitate the teaching-learning activities specified in
each Competency with minimal or no face-to-face encounter between you and
learner. This will be made available to the learners with the references/links to ease
the independent learning.

For the learner:

The STVEP 7 – (Internet and Computing Fundamentals) Learning


Activity Sheet is developed to help you continue learning even if you are not in
school. This learning material provides you with meaningful and engaging activities
for independent learning. Being an active learner, carefully read and understand the
instructions then perform the activities and answer the assessments. This will be
returned to your facilitator on the agreed schedule.

II. Background Information for Learners

Installing Computer Hardware Peripheral Devices

The peripheral devices are those devices which are connected to the computer
and it helps the computer function. These devices contain both the input devices, which
are used to give command to the computer and the output devices, which help
computer showing the result to the user. The computer works with many peripheral
devices so it's important to know that how much these devices can be installed in the
computer and how can a persona configure them.

Installing and uninstalling hardware device (Epson L120 Series Printer—example


only)
Options to install Epson L120 Series Printer:

Option 1. Use Epson L120 Series Printer installer if available.


Option 2. Download the Epson L120 Series Printer Software/Driver Setup file on
the internet.
You can download it by visiting the Epson official website for your computer.

Before installing make sure to:

1. Turn on the Laptop on which you want to install the Epson L120 printer.
2. Turn on your Epson L120 printer as well.

Note:
 Keep the USB cable unplugged from your printer and do not plug it until you see the
prompt to do so. 
 Connect the printer to computer USB cable when Installer wizard asks. 
Steps to install Epson L12o Series Printer using driver.

Step 1. Select L120 Driver and


double click to run.

Step 2. Select the Epson L120 Series.


Check the box if you want it to be your
default printer and automatically update
software. Click Ok to continue.

Step 3. Select a language and then click


Ok.

Step 4. Click agree on the license agreement


screen and click OK.
Step 5. Wait while checking currently
installed printer driver.

Step 6.Click ok to finish installation.

Before uninstalling make sure to:

1. Start with the printer powered on and connected to the computer.


2. Open the Devices and Printers folder. Check for and cancel any queued documents
for all installed Epson printers.
3. Power off the printer and disconnect the data cable.

Steps to Uninstall Epson L120 Series Printer

Step 1. Type Control Panel into the search bar and press Enter. Windows will search for and
open the Control Panel application.

Step 2. Under all Control Panel Items,


click Program and Features

Step 3. Select Epson L120 Series Printer


and click on Uninstall/Change.
Step 4. Click on Epson L120 Series Printer
and click OK to uninstall.

Step 5. Click Yes when prompted to confirm that


you want to delete the selected printer.

Step 6. Wait while the printer is being removed.


Step 7. You will then see confirmation that the
uninstall is complete. Click OK
