Overview
Inter turn fault is the second most commonly observed fault in the
motors and is considered the most severe. It can lead to the failure
of complete phase and can even cause accidents, if left undetected
or untreated.
The aim of our project is to detect the inter-turn faults in an
induction motor at the early stage itself. Various techniques are
used to identify the inter-turn fault in an induction machine. But
we will use the wavelet transform technique. Fourier Analysis is
another technique used to detect the faults in an induction
machine.

Goals
1. Detailed description of the inter-turn faults.
2. Simulation in Matlab and Simulink
