Proofix CR
Proofix CR
Description
Proofix CR is a one component waterproofing slurry for concrete or any cementitious substrates based on
Portland cement, specially treated quartz sand, reactive silica and active chemicals, needs only to add
water prior to application.
When applied on the concrete surface it forms insoluble crystals in concrete pores to prevent any further
water ingress and allow the concrete to breath.
Advantages
Waterproofing-producing crystals which penetrate deeply into concrete and becomes a part of the
concrete.
Waterproofing in both positive and negative water pressure.
Easy to mix and apply – just add water.
Resistant to acids, alkalis.
Suitable for food industry and potable water – non toxic.
Applied to all concrete structure new or old.
Protects reinforcement against corrosion.
Can be applied by brush or spraying.
Uses
Proofix CR is ideal to be used for the following operations:
To provide non-toxic, waterproof coating ideal for water retaining structures.
To protect concrete against concrete decay providing a chemical resistant barrier to corrosive salts
and atmospheric gases.
To provide a tough and durable coating.
To provide protection to concrete surfaces from carbonation and chloride attack.
Excellent adhesion has a unique balance of organic and inorganic compounds.
Potable water tanks positive and negative waterproofing.

Application Instructions
Preparation
Concrete surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil, paint residual curing compound and any loosely adhering
particles by using wet blasting or wire brushing.
Area of weak or honeycombs concrete must be repaired before applying Proofix CR.
Surface should be damped with water prior the application.
Before applying Proofix CR any excess water should be removed.
Mixing
Put the Powder into a suitable container and add water (approx. 8 Ltr per bag).
Mix the components with a slow speed drill (350-450) rpm for 2 minutes and use the slurry within 20 minutes only.
Always add the powder to water, not vise versa.
If the mix starts to set, do not add more water, simply restir.
Application
Damp the concrete surface immediately before using Proofix CR.
Apply minimum two coats at right angles by brush or spray.
Apply the second coat after 3-4 hours from the first coat.
Curing
Treat the surface by keeping it damp for 3-5 days (the use of water curing is a must to perform crystalline process)
It needs to be cured by water just after initial set takes place for at least 4 times a day.
In hot climate it may be required to be cured more frequently and it's recommended to keep treated areas away
from direct sun, wind or frost in curing period.
Note:
Use correct mixing ratio to obtain desired consistency for spray trowel applications.
Proofix CR is not a decorative material.
Proofix CR can not be used as an addition to any concrete or cement mixes.
Proofix CR has a shelf life of 12 month if stored in normal temperature and closed shaded dry area in undamaged
original packing.
