3.1 Frequency of employee evaluation Employee evaluation is one of the most important stages in the human resource management process. Based on the capacity assessments, the management can understand the performance of each individual, each group of employees, departments and the whole enterprise. From there, it is possible to make decisions such as promotion, salary increase or remind and reprimand in a fair and reasonable way for employees. As a result, each employee can be self- aware of the strengths that need to be promoted as well as the shortcomings that they are facing at work and have more motivation to try harder to improve work performance.
Currently, Ascend Travel is conducting employee evaluations in the
company in a periodic way: Including monthly, quarterly and annual human resource evaluations that allow to assess the change of work performance employees from time to time. Specifically, Ascend has quarterly evaluations 3.2How they evaluate their employees ? 3.2.1 KPIs assessment method
KPIs are applied by Accend to evaluate the performance of Employees over a specific,
defined time.
The method is carried out according to the following procedure:
• Determine the desired job performance to measure
• Set goals for performance
• Compare current performance with defined goals
3.2.2 Behavioral Scale (BAR) method
To evaluate departments, Ascend uses BAR to evaluate the work
performance of teams in both qualitative and quantitative ways. Each performance
statement is tied to metrics, so managers can summarize the results of the
performance appraisals into quantifiable metrics.
How they conduct BARs
First, the manager establishes typical behavioral descriptions for a job position
Next, management will standardize, filter and remove redundant evaluation

After setting up the fixed-point behavioral evaluation, the manager will
evaluate the employees according to the assessment.
