INITIAL FRAMEWORK
1. Discuss about the existing problems that
the organization can provide solution for.
2. Open suggestions for policies. Hear the
concerns, and discuss the vision that they
have for LM.
3. Open suggestions for programs that the
organization may impose (must be in line
with our org.
Suggested List of Issues:
• Proper internal and external coordination;
• Schedule of regular meetings with the officers and members;
• Funds;
• CBL Revisions
• ….add all of the issues that the sophies have raised in the GC to shed a light on what actually happened, and put an end to the friction
among all year levels.
POINTERS
a.) Introduce yourself (name and position,
etc.)
b.) Straighten everyone’s expectations and set
the tone of the gathering.
c.) Cite the core values of LM where we derive
our policies, rules and overall conduct:
Dignity, Respect, and Excellence.
d.) Put forward House Rules.
e.) Collate a list of issues you have noticed in
the past term. Dissect each one. Do not
wait for the members to cite issues that
you yourselves should have noticed in the
first place. Your goal here is to cover all
existing and potential issues, thereby
mitigating the concerns that they will raise.
Make sure that you have already prepared
for possible answers/resolutions to these
queries/problems. Member propositions
must be supplementary in nature. This will
give them the impression that you are
paying attention to what is happening in
the internal affairs of the program, and will
save you from appearing oblivious of your
responsibilities.
f.) Allow the members to make suggestions,
but do not forget to let them know that we
must always be realistic with the situation.
Carefully discern which suggestions are
feasible and beneficial to the program from
those that are born out of impassioned
idealism and misguided expectations.
g.) Do not run around in circles when
addressing their concerns. Be
straightforward.
h.) Ask them for their vision, but remind them
that a vision is nothing without their
cooperation and compliance; and that in
order for LM to continue to thrive, we
should always work together despite our
differences.
