I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1.Explain the importance of biodiversity
2.Create a timeline of extinction through the use of
multimedia presentation
3.Appreciate the importance of a balanced environment in
the survival of the organisms
a. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of how
changes in the environment may affect species extinction
b. Performance make a multimedia presentation of a timeline of extinction
Standards of representative microorganisms, plants, and animals
c. Learning The learners shall be able to relate species extinction to
Competencies/Objective the failure of populations of organisms to adapt to abrupt
s changes in the environment

4. As a student, how can you preserve and conserve
our ecosystem.
g. Making Performance Task
generalizations and Students will be grouped into four (3), each group will
abstractions about the be assigned with the following activities below:
lesson
20 mins.  Group 1 – Make a Song Biodiversity
(In your Music class, a Song is a set of words
or short poem set to music or meant to be
sung.)

 Group 2 –Broadcasting about causes of

species extinction
(Broadcasting is part of your Journalism class
in which transmission of programs or
information that is made public by means of
radio or television happens.)
 Group 3 – Role Play on the importance of a
balance environment in the survival of
organisms (Role play is the act of imitating
the character and behavior of someone who is
different from yourself.)

Rubrics

Rubrics shall be given in each group to rate the

performance of other groups. To get the rating the scores
given in each criterion will be added. (Use your knowledge
on the Fundamental Operations in Mathematics to solve
the problem properly.)

h. Evaluating learning Performance Task Evaluation

(Evaluate) Each group will be given 3 minutes to perform their
10 mins. task and the rubric rating sheet will serve as the
evaluation tool
