CAP 1.1a Find the grammatical errors in this post that appeared on a popular social media
platform, last week. Underline them and write the correct form / corrections of the errors in the
space below the sentence.
For one of the finest actors of our times there’s millions of haters out there putting in their angst
on #socialmedia majority of them who have not even seen the film
Last night I watched the film along with my family. The film is a beautiful expression of a persons
life. It’s one of his exceptional performances and trying to draw parallels to another of his film or
continually comparing it to Paramount Pictures Forest Gump would not be fair thing to do too
It’s a film of a man’s determination, his fight, his struggle, his love, his mother and just about
what he is. One of grit and has moments he’ll make you smile and cry both easily and he does it
effortlessly
For the thousands of haters, cynics stop this propaganda and I’d suggest that everyone should
use their own mind and go watch it and not be swayed with this hate
We’ve seen a lot of this hate while even #advertising films have to pulled down, but why should a
film!
One that’s taken the writer years to pen and with some other amazing performances too. Surely
Netflix would not have been stupid to underwrite 160 Crores for a film that’s made in 180 Crores
It’s a film that’s got rushes of big moments in our history and one that many of us can relate too;
brilliantly contextualised as India goes through its own turbulent phase; the Emergency, Indira
Gandhi’s assassination, the Babri Masjid demolition, Mandal Commission, Kargil, 26/11, Anna’s
fasting, the 1983 World Cup win to Sushmita Sen’s crowning
These are moments that many of today’s generation may not have witnessed while it’s an
interesting way to see rushes of the same and yet absolutely breathtaking shots of India across
most of states across the country and these are worth seeing too
The haters are all about wanting to draw parallels, wanting to unnecessary pick battles with the
Indian army and more or trying to create a political angle with it too
Let’s just leave it as a #creative piece of work. It’s sad that that even while we get to 75 years of
Independence, one cannot be independent and artists of the stature of M F Hussain had haters
for his creative expression
Millions of these same haters who may not go to the cinema hall will see it on Netflix in a couple

of weeks, but why not let the creators have people come out and enjoy a film that celebrates an
individual, about humanity
For those who’ve seen the film, scenes like him wearing the turban, or waking around India Gate,
him going to his friends village or then just sewing the clothes will move you. Enjoy it along with
that large Pop corn tub, even if haters condemn it being slow and ridiculous
Why are we always as people wanting to pull someone down or even tear apart, time one can
look into one’s vulnerability and way to live life!
