TENANCY AGREEMENT

THIS TENANCY AGREEMENT made this …………... day of ……………… 20…… Between PRINCE &
MRS. OKONJO CHIEDU FRANCIS of No 2, Oguno Ozo Street, Bonsaac, Behind Oil Station
Asaba, Delta State (hereinafter called “THE LANDLORD” of the building and Mr./Mrs.
AND
…………………………………………………………………………….of…………………………………………

(Hereinafter referred to as Tenant).
1. In consideration of the rent and the tenant covenants the Landlord hereby
demise unto the tenant a portion know as A room and parlor and situated at
the above address with the appurtenances there to (hereinafter called the
demised premises) on the …………... day of …………………… 20……… And in a
payment of one-year rent.
2. To pay all charges in respect of electricity consumed upon the premises is
yearly payment.
3. Not to do or permit to be done any structural adjustment or additional to
the room(s) without the consent of the Landlord.
4. Not to assign sublet, underlet or part with possession of the demised
premises.
5. Not to store, bring upon the premises any article that may tend to cause
annoyance, damage or disturbance to other tenants.
6. Not to use or permit to be used on the demised premises or any part
thereof for any immoral or unjust purpose.
7. That rearing of domestic pets or animals within the compound is highly
prohibited.
8. That no spilling of dirty/used water of any form is allowed. All waters should
be addressed into the proper channels, except washing of vehicles by the
resident.
9. For refuse, all tenants should have a big dustbin where all the waste will be
till weekend, the disposal should take place.
10. All tenants are to pay N18,000 YEARLY (N1,500 Per Month) For sweeping of
Compound & Disposal of Waste Bin.
11. Spoilt foods, its remnant especially (fish or meat) should properly tie before
disposing into dustbin.
12. Not to do or permit to use the generator service from 12pm for safety and
security reasons.
13. Note that when issues of maintenance come up all tenant are to be
involved.
14. That the main gate should be at lock all the time for the sake of security
reasons, That once it is 10pm the gate of the compound is locked till the
following morning, but if there is any possibility that the resident might
come in later than the time issued then it should come to the notice of the
family.
15. Note that this tenancy agreement is only for one year from the late of this
agreement but maybe renewed of your conduct is conductive.
16. Fighting is prohibited and punishable.
17. Note: caution fee collected N20,000 thousand naira only, is refundable

NOTE: For the renew of the house rent payment, it should be made on or
before one month after previous ones has expired, failure to do so will
attract the penalty.
Also, that failure to adhere to the above inscriptions may attract your eviction
from the house.

FOR SURETY

at No …………………………………………………………………………………………………. in Delta State of
Nigeria. A ………………………………. By occupation hereby stands as a Surety to the said tenant as
named above, I hereby state that the above tenant is of unquestionable character and will
observe all conditions herein that during the pendency of agreement, if he/she seize to
observe any of these as enshrined in this agreement I will advise that he be quite without
delay.
