How do you relate the nature of Mathematics in the context of


language?
To relate the nature of Mathematics in the context of language or specifically in English, just like in
Language, Mathematics compose of different components in order to form a statement. For example,
In English we have the Parts of speech such as the Nouns, Verbs, Pronouns and other parts of speech
which are sed in order to form a complete statement or sentence. Likewise, in Math, Numbers, ,
operations symbols, variables and more. In English, we have Nouns as the subject, were in everything
else in the snetence revolves around the noun, Mathematics is similar to that concept since in Math
numbers are like 1, 2, 3 are being used as the subject or object of the mathematical statement, it is
where the arithmetics revolve around. We can say that nouns and numbers are similar in some ways.
Furthermore, another relation math and language have is the verbs and the operation symbols
wherein in english we have verbs as the action words whiles in Mathmatical language we have the the
operation symbols that represents the acton in mathematics. Moving forwars, we also have the
pronouns in english and variables such as a, b, c in mathematics. THe similarity they have is that
pronouns represents the nouns of english while the variables represent the numbers of mathematics.
Next is the relation in mathematics. Just like how english connects different thoughts with each other,
mathmatics also uses relations like greater than and less than to relate different subjects in
mathematics. Last is the grouping and punctuations. In english we use different punctuations such as
comma and quotations in order to group and separate ideas, groupings in mathematics is similar to
this concept with the use of parenthesis and brackets, language of mathematics would be able to
group and separate numbers, operation symbols and variables.
