Gill reaction:

“I am happy to hear the good news that the Hon’able High Court has upheld the sports ministry’s
order, and directed this to be strictly enforced and followed. This is Diwali gift to youth and
sportspersons of the nation on the eve of Asian Games,” Gill said in a statement.

“I am sure with good governance in sports federations Indian athletes will win more medals on
the international stage.”
Gill also hinted that in coming times a sports law bill could also be introduced in Parliament.

Sources said that all the people who have flouted the guidelines would have to go.
