• stores last 8 paired devices
NFC pairing - Top center
AUX Input - 3.5mm
Water resistant - IPX4 rating
Speakerphone - answer and make phone calls

Charging via Micro USB

Speaker powers off after 30 minutes of inactivity (no sound coming from speaker) while operating on
battery power.

Disabling auto-off
1. Press and hold + and simultaneously.
The unit will respond with “Auto-off disabled.”
2. Repeat to re-enable the auto-off feature.

When the speaker is unplugged and unused for more than three days with a remaining charge of
less than 10 percent, it enters battery protection mode to preserve battery power. Connecting it to
power will wake the speaker.

A 1A, 5V USB power supply works best to fully charge the battery.

Parts that have special safety characteristics are identified by the symbol on schematics
or by special notes on the parts list. Use only replacement parts that have critical characteristics
recommended by the manufacturer.

CAUTION: The Bose® SoundLink® Bluetooth® speaker contains no user-serviceable parts. To prevent
warranty infractions, refer servicing to warranty service stations or factory service.

Handle boards by the edges only.
• Transport or store ESDS devices in ESD protective bags, bins, or totes. Do not insert unprotected
devices into materials such as plastic, polystyrene foam, clear plastic bags, bubble wrap or plastic
trays.

WARRANTY
The Bose® SoundLink® Bluetooth® speaker® is covered by a limited 1-year transferable warranty. 2

DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1. Boot Retainer and Foot Removal

1.1 Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the

boot retainer and the cabinet, being careful not
to damage the rubber boot. Figure 3.

1.2 Apply pressure to release the snaps

securing the boot retainer to the cabinet.

Important Note: The boot retainer snaps can

relax during the removal process and might Figure 3. Boot Retainer Removal
not provide a secure fit if re-used. When
reassembling, a new boot retainer should be
used.

1.3 Lift up the foot retainer tab from the posts

on the boot retainer. Slide the tab out from the
slot in the boot retainer. Figure 4. Foot Retainer Tab

Important Note: The replacement foot does

not include a serial number. If replacing both
the foot and the boot retainer, place a label with Figure 4. Foot Secured to Boot Retainer
the unit’s serial number on the replacement
boot retainer

2. Boot Removal

2.1 Perform procedure 1.

2.2 Grasp the edges of the boot and roll it down

from the cabinet until it is free from the cabinet.
Figure 5.

Note: Use care not to lose the light pipe, which

will remain inserted in the boot’s indicator holes
near the buttons.

cover as shown in figure 6.

Note: When assembling, press on the rear

cover while securing the screws to reduce the
chance of stripping or breaking the screw boss.

Note: A T8 security/tamper resistant bit is

needed to remove these screws
