Speaker powers off after 30 minutes of inactivity (no sound coming from speaker) while operating on
battery power.
Disabling auto-off
1. Press and hold + and simultaneously.
The unit will respond with “Auto-off disabled.”
2. Repeat to re-enable the auto-off feature.
When the speaker is unplugged and unused for more than three days with a remaining charge of
less than 10 percent, it enters battery protection mode to preserve battery power. Connecting it to
power will wake the speaker.
A 1A, 5V USB power supply works best to fully charge the battery.
Parts that have special safety characteristics are identified by the symbol on schematics
or by special notes on the parts list. Use only replacement parts that have critical characteristics
recommended by the manufacturer.
CAUTION: The Bose® SoundLink® Bluetooth® speaker contains no user-serviceable parts. To prevent
warranty infractions, refer servicing to warranty service stations or factory service.
