THE ONE ON THE THRONE

I realize the Book of Revelation is highly figurative, symbolic and prophetic, but one
thing rings clear: Jesus is The LORD God Almighty who will be sitting on the throne
when we get to Heaven.

In chapter one, Jesus identifies Himself to John as “I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, WHICH IS, and WHICH WAS, WHICH IS
TO COME, the Almighty.” – Rev. 1: 8

In chapter 4, John is shown the throne of God: “And immediately I was in the spirit:
and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and ONE SAT ON THE THRONE.” – Rev.
4: 2

John proceeds to explain what he saw before the throne, and the constant worship he
heard around the throne (Rev. 4:2 – 7), and these were the words that John heard: “…
Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, WHICH WAS, AND IS, AND IS TO
COME.” – Rev. 4: 8

Someday we will see Jesus, the Lamb that was slain for our sins. He was God come
in the flesh, to shed His precious blood for our Salvation. Check out these two verses,
both written by John, it is clear that John received the Revelation of Jesus Christ as
The LORD God Almighty:

“ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the
dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us
from our sins IN HIS OWN BLOOD,” – Rev. 1:5

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR US:
and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” – 1 John 3: 16 (See Acts 20: 28)

If you’re looking for me in Heaven, I’ll be kneeling at the feet of Jesus.
