What young people can learn from older generations

There are a lot of difficulties young people will face growing up. Some are related to work,
money and even relationships. In this essay I am going to adress the latter two. Some may argue that
they can learn from the older generations and I believe that younger people could learn a bit from the
older generation, but not everything.

Money is something that changes the way it’s earned each generation. In the past, just by
working very hard you would be able to become relatively wealthy, nowadays just working a regular
nine to five job is not going to net you enough to lead a happy life. There are certain factors that did not
exist in those times, such as crypto currencies and NFTs, which are the new norm. Young people also
might understand that saving money will help them, which does not in any way because of inflation. The
only thing they can learn from the older generation is how to spend it, or the so called discipline. You
should not spend your money on a car you can not afford, because just maintaining it will be a hassle.

The other area where some believe teenagers and young adults could learn from the older
generation is relationships. This is completely inaccurate since the way our minds work have changed. In
this day and age people are so quick to pick a good time over a good thing. The way the younger
generation views love is radically different. There are some exceptions of course but they pretty much
amount to nothing. I believe there is nothing for young people to learn from the older generation in this
category.

To conclude, the younger generation has what to learn from older people but not as much as
many like to believe.
