GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
There are errors identified and too many activities in the existing ADM module in
Science 10 Quarter 2 Weeks 1-2 – Module 1 – Different Forms of EM Waves. Please use
the information below as your guide in accomplishing the module.

We are surrounded with thousands of waves. Waves collide with our bodies and some
pass through us. Most of these waves are invisible but we can perceive some. The warmth of
the sun and the light that we see are just a few of them. These waves share similar
characteristics, yet they are unique in some ways. These waves are called Electromagnetic
Waves.
Instructions: Analyze the illustration about the relative wavelengths and frequencies of the
different forms of electromagnetic waves below. Then answer the question.
Question: What happens to the wavelength and frequency of the electromagnetic waves
as it progresses from left to right?

B. PERFORMANCE TASK
PERFORMANCE TASK
Your school is conducting its Annual Science Fair and one of the activities is the conduct of
a Science Infotalk. Your teacher in Science 10 encouraged all grade 10 students to prepare
needed information particularly on Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS). As an expected
participant, you need to research information about electromagnetic waves in terms of their
energy, frequency and wavelength. Choose only one form of electromagnetic waves and
compare it with other forms of electromagnetic waves.
You are expected to submit a written research output and present this on the scheduled
day to your G10 science teachers and other students. Your presentation shall be assessed on
its content, organization, grammar and language.
