The graphs expose the principal changes in the quantities in goods transported in the

UK in the period between the years 1974 and 2002. In this period the quantity of the
goods transportation had a increase notably over the years.
In the case of the transportation on water, it shows an increment of almost 27 tons,
following for the road with approximate numbers of 25 million of ton and which was
the most used mode of transportation, and 17 million of ton for the pipeline mode.
Additionally, the case of the rail transportation had insignificant increased which does
not exceed the 5 million of ton, but it managed to recover from two severe falls and stay
a better transportation option compared to pipeline.
In conclusion, all modes have an increased, mostly very noticeable and its clear to
appreciate that the trend of the need to transport goods was upward during this period.
