I. Learning Objective:
At the end of a 45 minute period, 80% of the learners will be able to:
Visualize numbers up to 10,000 with emphasis on numbers 1,001-10,000. (M3NS-Ia-
1.3)
2. Motivation
Identify the numbers illustrated in the number disks.
2. Discussion
In visualizing numbers, we use the following:
blocks, flats, longs and squares
Representing thousands, hundreds, tens and ones
blocks=1,000
Flats=100
Longs=10
Squares=1
3. Activity Proper
While presenting, let pupils answer some activities.
4. Generalization
Ask the following questions?
1. What have you learned today?
2. How do we visualize numbers?
5. Application
Let the pupils visualize a given number using this online app called
BASE TEN BLOCKS. (Remind pupils that: Practice makes perfect. Be patient)
