BARRIERS IN IMPLEMENTING INTEGRATED SCHOOL NUTRITION MODEL

IN SELECTED ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN CALOOCAN NORTH 2 DISTRICT

Statement of the Problem

This study is designed to determine Barriers in Implementing Integrated School

Nutrition Model in Selected Elementary Schools in Caloocan North 2 District.

Specifically, it sought answers to the following questions:

1. What is the status of implementation of Integrated School Nutrition Model in

terms of:

a. using Garden Harvest in School-Based Feeding Program;

b. providing Nutrition Education or Promotion to School-Based Feeding

Program;

c. using Gulayan sa Paaralan for promoting food, gardening, and nutrition

messages to learner?

2. What are the barriers encountered by the school heads, program coordinators

and teachers in implementing Integrated School Nutrition Model?

3. Is there a significant relationship between the implementation of Integrated

School Nutrition Model and barriers encountered by the school head, program

coordinators and teachers?

4. What resources do school heads, program coordinators and teachers believe are

necessary to achieve more successful implementation of the Integrated School

Nutrition Model?
5. How do these barriers effect the implementation of the Integrated School

Nutrition Model?

6. What kind of strategies or countermeasures can be made to address the

challenges identified in the study?

7. What future studies can be made based on the findings of the study?
