that He will always give us a great morning to spend with our loved ones…. May I
request everyone to please rise for a Prayer.. Afterwards, let us remain standing to give
Honor to our beloved country as we sing the Philippine National Anthem.

II. Introduction
“Experience is the best teacher”. And nothing compares to the knowledge that it can
give to us. It may be hard at first, but once we learn to appreciate and love what we’re
doing, it became easier and easier every day. OJT is more than what it means. It’s the
set of training, learning and the most important ingredients of all, the experience.

I remember what our Ship-captain had told me on my first day during my

Apprenticeship / OJT 9 years ago onboard an international vessel, “Boni, no matter how
intelligent or smart you are in school , but without having first-hand experience of the
reality you are about to enter soon, everything is useless. In other words, THEORY
without APPLICATION is a daydream.

As days went on I come to reflect and appreciate the first advice I got from our Captain.
As I become familiar with the ship equipment that we use every day as well as getting to
know every part or things in the ship, every day seems like an “AHA!” moment to me.
Like when I learned a certain equipment and its function , I come to recall ahhhh ok..
mao diay ni xa ang giingun sa libro,, ahhh ok mao diay ni xa ang giingun ni sir nga para
kuan, og kinahanglan dili makuan… maong kinahanglan kuanon gyud… ….ambot unsa
ni nga kuan….

III. Alright so much with those many kuans… And now, to formally welcome us all to this
OJT ORIENTATION AND DISSEMINATION ACTIVITY, let us have our very active and
dynamic, chairperson for BSTM Program, Mr. Mark Erwin S. Duterte. A warm round of
applause pls.

IV. Thank you very much Sir Mark for giving us the warmest welcome in this great and
wonderful morning. Good morning Bipsu!.... response…. Good morning
SME….response….

V. On-the-job training (OJT) is a practical approach to acquiring new competencies and

skills needed for a job in a real, or close to real, working environment. It is often used to
learn how to use particular tools or equipment in a live-work practice, simulated, or
training environment. This training happens at the workplace, with guidance from a
supervisor, manager, or another knowledgeable employee. New employees that
undergo on-the-job training get a firsthand look at all the work procedures they can
expect to encounter. All of you will learn workplace expectations, equipment operation,
and any other skill you need to complete your job successfully. And to give us more
with the details and schemes of this ON-The-Job Training for our students, let us all give
the floor to our very own BSTM OJT- Coordinator , the ever resourceful and lovely MS.
EDEN R. CALVEZ. Let us give her a warm round of applause.
VI. Thank you very much Maam Eden for a very comprehensive explanation regarding the
set up for the OJT of our students. Moving on… let us have Dr. Jane Marie G. Inocencio
, Director of external Affairs Office to give our students an inspirational message and at
the same time to discuss the OJT requirements. A warm round of applause please.
VII. Thank you Dr. Inocencio for sharing to our students your best advices and at the same
time for explaining to them the necessary requirements to complete their On the job
Training.
Good Morning BiPSU…. Good Morning SME.

You know what, our dear students, you can always make your OJT meaningful and
fruitful through doing things that procures satisfaction to you. Everything that you do
must develop your potential and allow you to reach your objectives. It’s accomplishing
every task with all your hearts and having the initiative to strive harder to learn and seek
for more.
VIII. Now at this point Let us have MS. Sheila Salentes, UNIFAST Focal Person to discuss
the OJT RLE. A big hand please

IX. And now that we already know all the things needed for the OJT, it is also significant to
hear the sides of our parents and students relative to the OJT set up. We should also
listen to their insights, thoughts, and confusions if they have so that all of these can be
addressed properly and all of us will meet at the endpoint. Now, I want you to tell your
classmates beside you or as many friends as you have, “Magtatanong tayo
ha?”….response….. And to facilitate the Open Forum, I would like to call on, the ever
charming Mr. Paul Hector Gonzales, BSHM OJT Coordinator . Let’s give him a warm
round of applause.

X. Thank you Sir Paul for facilitating the OPEN FORUM SESSION. We hope that all of our
questions and confusions we’re all answered. Before we land in to our respective OJT
Assignments, it is really important that we go there as well informed students, who know
what to do and what to prepare. Bago sumalang…. Indeed, lamang ang may ? ALAM.
