Test II. Constructed response test. Answer briefly the following questions.

1. How do you understand a curriculum as a list of subjects?

I gain a better understanding of the curriculum by exploring and listing the key texts and
concepts so that I can quickly transfer and recognize them. I had to read them first before I
could chose the curricula that best suited my interests.

2. If you have to improve one area as a Curriculum Developer, what would it be?

More knowledge, tactics, and abilities, in my opinion, are fundamental for learners.
Here, children can be more engaged in their surroundings, and it is also advantageous for
teachers to provide such curriculum to students.

3. Who are the people involved in the Process of Curriculum Development and what
is their level of involvement?

The teacher, without a question, the most crucial individual in the curriculum
implementation process. Teachers are essential to any curriculum creation effort because of
their knowledge, experiences, and competencies.

Test II. Constructed Response Test.

1. the benefits of having a learner-centered curriculum? (5pts)
 In learner-centered curriculum, lessons are designed to keep learners engaged in the
course and making their learning more effective and more active. Learner-centered
curriculum is usually learner friendly and language used is of his level only.
 These courses are designed in a way that it fulfills the learning needs of the learner
and learner will find them challenging to a level they will enjoy doing.
 In learner centered curriculum the learner is not merely a passive receiver of
information. He in fact becomes an active participant. If a student is learning via
learning management system, there are many activities like games and quizzes to
keep him involved and he will grasp such content easily.
 Learner-centric curriculum makes learning fun as it involves group activities and
collaborations. It encourages research mindset from a very young age and learners
will turn mature and will exercise more independence.
2. Why do you think curriculum evaluation is important? (5pts)
 Curriculum evaluation serves two purposes: first, it provides a mechanism of gathering
data that may be utilized to improve a course, and second, it serves as a foundation for
making decisions about curriculum adoption and successful use.
3. How can we involve the following stakeholders in curriculum evaluation? (10pts)
a. Community Officials
 Community officials-community serves as the bais of what curriculum or program
can be implemented and can satisfy the needs of the community.
b. Alumni
 Alumni-based evaluations are increasingly recognised as an important part of the
process of ongoing curriculum evaluation. They provide insights into the
undergraduate learning experience and students’ preparation for work as clinical
practitioners

Test II. Constructed Response Test. Answer briefly the following questions. (5pts each)

1. What are some of the common curriculum issues that St. Mary’s College Baganga, Inc.  are facing
today?

Students' poor academic performance is one of the issues that SMCBI is dealing with today as a
result of the new mode of learning, which is modular and online classes. Some students lose interest
in schoolwork, particularly in answering their modules, and others lack a reliable internet connection,
resulting in low academic achievement.

2. As a future educator, how can you localize and indigenize instruction?

As future educators, we should be able to understand how to localize means to relate our learning
content to their local information and materials that could be useful in delivering instructions to
students. We also need to improve our teaching and learning processes in relation to the historical
and other community context of the learners in order to indigenize instructions.

Processing Your Knowledge

1. Conduct a document review/ analysis of DepEd K to 12 Curriculum Guide focusing on sequencing,
spiraling, and integration of lessons. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of the curriculum.
Learning is dependent on prior knowledge.
▪️It encourages global skills.
▪️Developing the minds and skills of all students
▪️Applying the precise talents that are beneficial to students
▪️Integration and collaboration are notions that are adaptable.
Disadvantages
▪️The Curriculum is Overburdened
▪️Limited resources and equipment
▪️Narrow Programs: Inapplicable
▪️It runs the risk of becoming teacher-centered.
▪️There are too many skills to apply.

2. Examine at least 2 different learning programs or curricula and explain features of the
programs/curricula that make them successful, and suggest ways that the programs/curricula could
be improved or adapted.
Includes structured learning activities that, in a real or simulated fashion, allow students to experience
problem solving and inquiry in situations that are drawn from their personal experiences and real-
world applications.
Links new knowledge to what is already known by presenting concepts in a conceptually and logically
sequenced order that builds upon previous learning within and across grade levels.

Subject/Level: SCIENCE 6 Unit: 3 Lesson No.: 2

TRANSFER GOAL:

The learners in the long run and on their own will be able to understand the ability of
potential energy and kinetic energy through practical activities on our day-to-day living in
God's grace.

Essential Understanding

1. The conversions of one form of energy into another of the movement of energy from one
place to another.

2. Energy conversion is a process of identifying energy wastage and taking steps of reduce
this wastage. These could mean simple practice such us turning of the light when you leave a
room, unplugging appliances when they're not in use and energy-saving appliances and
fixtures.

Essential Questions
1. How do you explain the transformation of energy?

2. How can you conserve energy?

I. Preliminaries (introduction)

Review:
What have you learned from our topic yesterday about the effects of changes in matter
to the environment?

Focus:

Forms of Energy

Vocabulary (unlocking of Difficulties): Using ABC Listing Method

Chemical Potential Energy (CPE) is the energy related to the chemical bonds that are
found in matter.

Elastic Potential Energy (EPE) is the energy stored in objects that are stretched.

Gravitational Potential Energy (GPE) is the energy associated with the pull of gravity.

SHINKANSEN is a super-fast trains in Japan literally means "new truck line".

Motivation: (Demonstration)

Have you ever stretched a rubber bond? What did you observed while stretching the
rubber bond?

Activating Prior Knowledge

1. Sounds are caused by?

2. A car moving down the road is an example of?

II. Lesson Development

A. Presentation of the Concept (Interaction)

Students will know:

1. The two basic forms of energy-Potential and Kinetic energy. Students will be
able to:

1. Perform how basic forms of energy applied in our daily activities

2. Explain how energy affects one's life.

B. Activities

The students will be grouped into two (2) groups. Each group will list down at
least two es of each form of energy that is given to them. The groups will present their
work in front after they completed their task. They will be graded based on their correct

Let the students answer the essential questions.

Deepen the discussion by asking the following questions:

1. Can you name other object with GPE?

2. Can you think of other substances that have GPE?
3. How do you explain the transformation of energy?
4. How do you conserve energy?

D. Integration (Meaning/Transfer)
ICV/RV: Excellence/Resourcefulness
Indicator: Makes good use of available resources through creativity and
innovation.

Emphasize to the students that being resourceful are not only at achieving
their goal, but also respond better under stress. It takes the ability to process
information emotionally as well as intellectually.

Ask: Why is it important for us to be resourceful?

SO: (Exercise) Emphasize to the students that although hours of the studying bur
mental energy, both your body and mind need physical energy to function at their
peak.
Ask: What will happen to your body if we don't do some exercises?

LAD (Chemistry): Chemical - Food we eat

Ask: What is the importance of chemical in our body?
