UNIVERSAL JOINT CLOSURE FIBREGUARD®

FibreGuard® Joint closure

Specifications:
• the FibreGuard® closure is designed for all types of
cable constructions from aerial to buried installations.
• air- and watertight construction
• material: injection-moulded glass-filled thermoplastic
material
• can be installed in harsh and corrosive environments
without any additional protection
• installation and re-entry are quick and simple
• anchoring points for strength members and facilities
for earthing of metallic elements
• modular splice tray system

• the closure is closed manually by turning the dome

collar over the base activating the effective locking
system that can accommodate a security locking
facility

• no heat-shrinkable tubes are used in cable inlets.

• cable sealing system consists of rubber grommets
with one or multiple cable entries, which are
selected according to the cable diameter.
• plastic sealing caps are tightened over the grommets.
A seal assist tool is provided to install the sealing
caps

• an oval port is provided for expressing cable

application. Grommets and plastic caps split into
2 pieces allowing uncut cable application

COYOTE® Drop cable closure

Specifications:
• the COYOTE® Drop Cable Closure is designed for
splicing or repairing of low fibre count drop cables
with up to 6 fibres
