New classrooms, new staff and new things to talk about for the month of October. We welcome new and returning students toa great month of activities and events. DUSK begins our back-to-school adventure with the reinstating of field trips starting from the month of October. We look forward to sharing outside opportunities for learning as well as for student growth. Dates and timings of events and special activities will be posted through classroom google. Ms Joy Washburn KG/ES Principal Ms Sadia Ambreen MS/HS Principal Mr Keyon Taylor MS/HS Vice-Principal ACTIVITY DAYS: World Teacher's Day, 5 October 2022: Our teachers encourage us to learn important life lessons that make us successful members of a community. Our leaders and teachers help students identify problem solving skills, critical thinking and support emotional intelligence and growth. On 5 October teachers around the world will be celebrated for their continuous effort and work. Remember to thank your teacher. It takes a village to raise a child and here at DUSK we are no exception. A big gesture of appreciation goes out to all our staff for making us one of the best places to learn in Kuwait. Extra-Curricular Activities, October 2022: DUSK extra-curricular activities will officially start in October 2022. Activities from sport to school outings will be encouraged. We are excited to see our students expand their skills in other environments where learning will take place. Parent Council Meeting, 12th October 2022: ‘At DUSK we believe that itis important to involve the parents in the school and to consider their opinion in assisting with our children’s wellbeing and education. DUSK Parent Council will be selected at the beginning of this academic year; please refer to the student handbook for the selection process. More information to follow. Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Day, 20th October 2022: October is the month to create awareness about the importance of health and the impact of breast cancer in our community and country. Various school departments and sections will arrange events around this important awareness day on 20th October 2022 to show our understanding, compassion and support to this cause. Do not forget to wear PINK as a symbol of hope and awareness. Various activities for the month of November will be broadcast. Stay tuned!
