1-2. Basic Configuration of DIASYS Netmation® (1/3)

[OPS (Operator Station)]

The operation and monitoring are done through human
Rch machine interface of DIASYS Netmation®. Windows
based system makes it easy for the operators to learn
the operations.
OPS ACS-B Router Operation monitoring functions include functions such
as graphic display, trend display, logic calculation status
EMS ACS-A DFPC
[Standby] display, and abnormalities alerts.

[Control]
[ACS (Accessory Station)]
The Accessory Station (ACS) stores and manages the
long-term plant data of DIASYS Netmation®. It can also
be used as an interface for other control system and
external memory devices, and can be easily connected
to the external memory device that saves the data
collected. When data is extracted using USB, DFPC
100 Mbps Ethernet (Data File Interface PC) is used from the aspect of safe
operation/security measure. (The required data is
transferred from ACS to DFPC, through automatic
operation)
[EMS (Engineering Station)]
EMS is the engineering tool for design and maintenance
of DIASYS Netmation®. Using EMS, we can register and
maintain whole system starting from creating or
changing logics calculated in MPS, creating graphics
and layouts displayed in OPS to configuring the system.

[DFPC (Data File Interface PC)]

DFPC is a PC separately placed to save the data from
ACS. To maintain the security, you can configure the
settings to the router that the data from DFPC cannot be
sent to the ACS/OPS/EMS.

1-2. Basic Configuration of DIASYS Netmation® (2/3)

Rch [MPS (Multiple Process Station, CPU)]

MPS, a control device that automatically controls the
plant, does all types of calculations by receiving
OPS ACS-B Router inputs/outputs signals from the instruments installed in
plant. You can easily calculate complicated numeric
EMS ACS-A DFPC
[Standby] accurately and rapidly.

[Control] [D-Ring Network]

It is an IO network in MPS used as an interface
between IO signals and MPS.
(Dual configuration of A ring and B ring)

1-3. Flow of Data

EMS Server EMS Client ACS-B

(ORCA Server) (ORCA-View) OPS [Communication Function]
[Standby]
ACS-A (1) Ethernet, which is a monitoring control
[Control]
network, is duplicated as P channel (Pch)
and Q channel (Qch) respectively.
(2) ORCA Server and ORCA-View are
connected through Pch only.
(ORCA-View may not be available if it is
(1) (2) (3) (4) (5)
connected through other than Pch)
Pch (3) OPS collects short-term data from MPS and
Qch displays.
(4) OPS collects mid/long-term data from ACS
and displays.
(5) ACS stores the configured collection data as
(6)
mid/long-term data.
(6) Due to the CPU card made redundant by A
system and B system, if the control side
CPU fails, the system bumplessly switches
over to the standby side CPU without
causing hindrance to the control.

3-3. Logic Monitoring Function
– (5) Parameter Tuning and Manual Set
Various operations on the logic sheet element such as parameter tuning, setting/fixing the input signal
can be done through OPS (security operation items).

[Caution]
Generally, this operation is prohibited during plant operation, because this may effect plant operation.
If it is necessary to do this during plant operation, keep in mind the risk of damage to actual equipment
during plant operation and make sure that the operator has operational rights. After finishing this, lock
the security mode (log off with WSM).
When the settings are changed without the permission of MHI or MHPS, we cannot provide guarantee
in terms of troubles encountered after changing.

1. [Parameter Tuning (Tuning)]

The parameters of logic elements in a logic monitoring sheet are adjusted (tuning) through OPS.
Since the parameters are directly changed in the logic sheet within MPS, the changed parameters still
remain the same even if MPS is restarted. (Changed parameter value will not be reflected in EMS until
logic sheet is uploaded from MPS to EMS. If, for some reason, uploading is not possible immediately
after changes in parameter values, then record the changed parameter values in case of emergency. If
MPS malfunction occurs during upload to EMS, the old values of parameters will be overwritten to MPS
from EMS. This is because the parameter information is not updated on EMS side.)
Furthermore, data comparison between EMS and MPS is also possible in EMS.

2. [Manual Set]
The following operations can be performed on a logic element of logic monitoring sheet:
(1) [Manual hold] The current output values will be fixed.
(2) [Manual set] The current output values will be changed.
(3) [Release] Reverts the changes made through step (1) or (2) to former calculation status. (If MPS
power source is turned off, it will return to the similar state as when released.)

[About Loop Plate Function]

Depending on the type of loop plate, we can set the operational value for analog control
such as degree of opening a valve, perform startup/shutdown operations for the digital
control device and display setting value & process value (current value) for monitoring.
Loop plate provides an efficient operational environment because it is linked with both plant
graphic and logic monitoring.
There are the following types of loop plates depending on its purpose:
1. [Analog type] Settings values and degree of opening valve command operations
2. [Digital type] Selection of operational mode and start/stop commands for
auxiliary machine
3. [Monitoring type] Status monitoring of setting values and process values (current
value)

- Similar to graphic, it is possible to open the

relevant logic sheet from loop plate.

- By using the "tagging operation" function, you

can prohibit the operation of the button and
add comments in order to inform other people
about the information related to the target
loop plate operation. (Explained later)

4-4. Manual CSV Creation for the Trend Data – (1) Data Usage

When analyzing data or creating graphs in Excel by using the trend data, use the
editable trend data in "CSV format".
The function that converts the trend data to CSV format is called a "medium to long
term trend data CSV storage function".

- CSV files are automatically created/saved in the ACS (depending on setting).

Then, they are automatically sent to the data file interface PC. Therefore, extract
the trend CSV data from data file interface PC (If data file interface PC is
available).

- When the trend CSV file of a specific period is necessary, manually create and
save the csv file using "DIASYSAcsMLTRsave.exe" tool. After transferring the file
to data file interface PC, extract the data.
This operation is done using ACS.
Usually, ACS operation is prohibited during plant operation.

Trend data CSV file is stored in ACS.
