During the last decade, tree nut production was mostly concentrated in high and middle-income
economies, and it kept growing at an average rate of 82,623 metric tons/year and 71,605 MT/year, 1,000,000
respectively. As for peanuts, in 2019/20, 92% of this crop was produced in middle GNI origins, also 500,000
showing a positive growth of 783,100 MT/year between 2009/10 and 2019/20. Regarding dried fruits,
they were primarily produced in middle- and high-income economies; accounting for 65% and 34% of 0

Tree nut and dried fruit supply value is estimated as the production per its unitary monthly price averaged annually (customs paid upon arrival in Europe). Overall tree nut supply value increased at a
steady pace over the previous 10 years, at an average rate of $1.93 billion per year, reaching $35.65 billion in 2019/2020.
Similarly, dried fruit supply value added up to $8.84 billion in 2019/20 following the increasing trend observed throughout the last decade, with an average annual growth rate of $0.28 billion.
