I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to:
a. interpret the poem by giving opinion about its meaning through
exchanging ideas;
b. integrate the values of the poem by understanding its essence in this
trying times; and
c. express their thoughts about the message of the first and second
stanza of the poem through a short reflection;
The teacher asks the students for their insights or opinions about
the poem.
1. What do you think the speaker of the poem feels about the man
with a hoe? Where do you see evidence in the poem to support
your ideas?
2. What is your own interpretation about the first stanza?
3. How about the second stanza?
d. Elaborate
The student gives a short reflection about the message of the first
and second stanza of the poem, they write it in a ¼ sheet of paper.
e. Evaluate
Formative Test: Essay
The students will create an essay in a ½ crosswise paper about the farmer
in the middle of pandemic. Note: Maximum of 200 words only.

Idea explanation: 10 points
Coherency: 10 points
Grammar: 10 points
Writing Mechanics: 10 points
Total: 40 points
