1 Check equipment is suitable for area classification.
2 Verify name plate details against data sheet
3 Visually inspect equipment for external damage
4 Check equipment supports and mountings are secure
5 Check interior for damage, cleanliness and remove packing
6 Check grounding conforms to project grounding details.
Check and confirm all ground cables are correctly
7 sized.
Confirm ground cable protective measures (kick plates)

are installed.
9 Confirm only one cable is terminated to each ground boss.
Check all connections are correct, tight and cable tags
10 are fitted
11 Check ratings of MCB's etc. against drawings
Check open/close mechanical operation of
12 isolators/MCB's etc.
13 Check correct circuit identification labels
14 Confirm phasing is correct
15 Confirm panel to transformer relationship is correct.
Check gaskets and seals are not damaged and check
16 all bolts are correct none missing
Perform insulation resistance tests on distribution board. Min
recorded level 10 Megohms. Test at 500 VDC for 120/208 V panel
and 1000 VDC for 480 volt panel for 1 min.

Test and record ground path resistance from distribution board end
18 to local ground system. Maximum resistance 0.1 ohms.
On completion of all cable glanding confirm spare entries are
19 correctly plugged
20 Ensure the LED indicators and large display illustrate system status
