Faraday’s Law
Faraday’s law of induction outlines how an electric current generates a magnetic field
in a conductor and, conversely, how a changing magnetic field generates an electric
current. Transformers, inductors, and various types of electrical motors, generator, and
solenoids all operate on this concept. The Maxwell- Faraday equation indicates that a
spatially variable electric field always follows a time-varying magnetic field, whereas
Faraday’s law states that when the magnetic flux across the surface contained by the loop
varies in time, there is emf on the conductive loop.
Faraday’s law had been established, and one of its aspects was eventually stated as
the Maxwell-Faraday equation. The Maxwell-Faraday equation and the Lorentz force
may be used to obtain Faraday’s law. The Transformer emf is described by the integral
version of the Maxwell-Faraday equation, whereas the motional emf is described by the
equation of Faraday’s law.
Motional emf is the induced emf caused by the motion of an electric conductor in the
presence of a magnetic field. Emf can be produced in two ways: by the motion of
conductor in the presence of a magnetic field, and by the motion of a conductor in the
absence of a magnetic field. Because of the shift in magnetic flux inside the circuit. A
motional electromotive force is an emf produced by the conductor moving through the
magnetic field. E = -vLB is the equation to use. As long as the velocity, field, and length
are all perpendicular, this equation holds. The negative sign is connected to Lenz’s law.
