Guidelines for Research Report


Kindly follow the guidelines given in this sheet in preparing and submitting your research report.
Failure to comply with the Department guidelines may result in your research not being accepted
as a fulfilling the requirements for the B.Com (Special) Degree programme.

Research report complied in accordance with the Department guidelines and the submission date
will be one month after the end of second semester examinations.

Student) under my supervision, be accepted in partial
fulfilment of the requirements for the Bachelors of
Commerce (Special) degree.

1. Third page should be dedicated to acknowledgement, the fourth page contents and
the fifth an abstract.
2. Use endnotes at the end of each chapter.
3. Abstract, and endnotes must be single line spacing and the body of the text must be
one and a half line spacing. All must be justified.
4. Body of the text and abstract must typed using font size 12 Time New Roman and
endnotes using font size 11, Time New Roman.
5. Margin of 1.5 inch on left side and 1 inch on all other sides.
6. All pages must consecutively numbered, graphs and table must be clearly titled.
7. All chapter titles, graph and table heading must be in bold letters.
8. Source of the graphs and table must be given clearly right underneath.
9. List of references and material used in the research must be given at the end of
research preferably in the APA format shown below
Ex. Mikosch, P., Hadrawa, T., & Grimm, G. (2010). Effectiveness of respiratory-sinus-
arrhythmia biofeedback on state-anxiety in patients undergoing coronary angiography.
Journal of Advanced Nursing, 66(5), 1101-1110.
Whitney, E., & Rolfes, S. (2011). Understanding nutrition (12th ed.). Australia: Wadsworth
Cengage Learning.

10. No need for hard binding, spiral binding would be sufficient.


11. Submit two copies of the research project. One copy of the report will be returned to
the student after making evaluation. Students are required to do necessary
amendments and make final copy with hard binding.
12. No research report will be accepted without duly completed Supervisor Meeting
Form and Progress Review Form.
