It is often said that children should have a dress code for various reasons,
one of this is making them the image of the college so they can feel proud
and other one to teach then discipline which would help them in many
cases like preparing them for their future workplaces that usually need a
uniform.
While it is true that most students do not like to have a dress code, several
schools allow them to do the design of their uniform, maintaining some
perimeters but that it is to their liking so that they feel comfortable with it.
Having a dress code that students like is very important as this influences
the image of the school and being pleased by this will make them feel part
of the institution and feel proud of it.
A second advantage of having a dress code at school is discipline for
students. The uniform produces certain feelings and behaviors in the one
who wears it and in those who see it from outside. Above all, it influences
the improvement of student performance since it helps students to be more
concentrated in class, because a more formal atmosphere is created, so their
performance improves as well as their grades.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that having a dress code
certainly encourages discipline in students, by creating a formal and
dedicated environment only for study. And in the same way it influences
the image of the school since it creates a feeling of union and strength
