1. How are population trends affecting the U.S. Navy’s education and operations?

What
might the organization have to do to adapt to these trends beyond what they’re already
doing?
- As the population diversifies a lot of new changes happen which includes few
opportunities open for women. There are organizations that accept women to
empower themselves including the navy wherein they accept women to be
employed and to serve the country. It is an open eye to the U.S naval academy
to hire women in this kind of field and continuously grow the population of
females to study and to be employed and a goal towards into a more diverse
organization.

2. What challenges might the Navy face in adapting to a more diverse student body at
the Naval Academy?
- One of the biggest challenges that the navy academy faces in adopting a more
diverse student is the introduction to women. It has been a challenging part to
handle because women are moving to all male schools wherein it affects the
environment, a lot of adaptations needs to be done, the training and a lot of
adjustments need to be considered. It might also lead to criticism considering the
nature of men wherein they are already strong compared to women.

3. Just like the dilemma that businesses face in retaining diverse employees, the Navy
has to ensure that once its workforce is trained that those individuals stay with the
organization. What can the Navy do to assure this?
- In this kind of situation the naval academy should prioritize the students mostly in
their training, mentoring and other aspects which includes physical and mental
capabilities. Proper training and leadership is a helpful skills in handling the
people or employees and it could create a big impact on them to be motivated to
work with their best.

4. Would mentoring or employee resource groups be appropriate for a military


organization? Explain. How might a mentoring program or employee resource groups
be implemented in the Navy?
- Yes, having this kind of asset in the academy could lead to a significant impact
mostly in their productivity and could motivate them to work with passion. In this
way having an employee resource group within the organization is an important
aspect since in this way the employee could feel belongingness and they could
be able to express their thoughts freely and they could share with the people they
have in common.
