Garbage is an international issue. So far, we have only been struggling with the issue of
waste on earth. Maybe you don't think that there is a waste issue that also needs attention. That
is space junk.

We know, now the era and era of technology dominates everyday life. Every hour, humans
depend on electronics and advanced technology. A simple example, we always communicate
using the internet, in our economy we also transact using m-banking, even in storing money in
banks, it also depends on technology.

Not many people know that space debris is a concern for developed countries. Due to the
active period or age of the satellite being flown it only operates for 7 years to 10 years. After that,
the satellites must be immediately replaced with new ones. If it is not replaced with a new
satellite, it will be outdated.

The emergence of this new satellite is a new issue and problem again. Because it will
increase the amount of space junk. So, scientists are now thinking and developing other ways,
how to reduce waste. According to Thomas Reiter, many brilliant ideas were born, but there were
no concrete steps to reduce the space debris.

So now scientists are developing how to get satellites that are no longer in operation to return
to earth, by means of complex maneuvers. Unfortunately, any satellite that returns to Earth will
burn due to atmospheric friction and eventually break apart. But there is an inner structure called
pitan that will not break down, and usually it will fall to earth.

Although there have been efforts, these efforts have not become a fundamental solution.
There's still a lot of space junk in outer space. When viewed, the earth also appears to be
surrounded by small material. In conclusion, in the midst of the convenience of technology and
the practicality of human life, there are negative impacts that humans cause, which is also our
shared responsibility. And hopefully, with the birth of these problems and issues, more
regeneration will be born to provide solutions.
