1.) Summarize one (1) learning resource in 03 Readings: The Cavite
Mutiny.

- Cavite Rebellion (January 20, 1872), a brief uprising by 200 Filipino


soldiers and Cavite Arsenal workers that served as a pretext for the
Spanish crackdown on early Filipino nationalist movements. Ironically,
the harsh response from the Spanish authorities ultimately helped
further the nationalist cause the rebellion was quickly suppressed, but
the Spanish government, led by reactionary governor Rafael de
Izquierdo, expanded the incident and used it as an excuse to crack
down on Filipinos who were demanding government reform Arrested
and charged with conspiracy to rebel. After a short trial, his three
priests, José Burgos, Jacinto Zamora, and Mariano Gómez, were publicly
executed the three were later martyred for Philippine independence.

 The Cavite Mutiny of 1872 was an uprising of Filipino soldiers on
January 20, 1872, from Fort San Felipe, a Spanish military arsenal
in Cavite, Philippines.
