In this activity, you will create a formal career plan.

It may not be 100 percent accurate if you aren’t sure

what career to pursue right now. It’s okay not to be sure, and if that’s the case, consider this a temporary
plan until you discover what you really want to do in life! In order to create it, you need to consider the
following topics:

● What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about the idea of changing lives, spreading awareness about the environment
and saving stray animals / pets in abusive homes.

● What do you hate or absolutely don’t want to do?

I hate being told what to do, or telling others what to do. I do not want to be struggling with
money or be confined in one place.

● What sort of factors could influence your choice (consider physical limitations, requirements you
may not be able to meet, etc.)?

Like many, I desire to live comfortably. The only way for that to come true is if I earn money to
survive but the work I am passionate about usually is not a good source of income.

Once you’ve found something that fits within the limits determined by your responses to the questions
above, think about how to achieve your career goals. Your plan needs to cover the following points:

1. What educational steps do you need to take to achieve your career goals, if any?

I would have to graduate college and get a PhD to maybe be accepted for a high earning job. I
have the intention to become a marketing analyst.

2. What sort of entry-level jobs can act as steps toward your goals?

I might take a marketing associate job as my entry level job right after college.
3. After gaining some experience, what jobs should you pursue at the midway in your career?

At intermediate level, I probably would aim to become a manager at executive level or a

leadership role.

4. What obstacles or limitations might you face in pursuit of your chosen career?

Aspects such as my gender, my race and nationality might come into play when I go job hunting.

5. What is your “ultimate” career goal?

My ultimate career goal is earning enough money for me to live comfortably with my spouse.

6. Approximately how long will each of the steps above take you?

Approximately ten years in between each step.

7. Get feedback and revise your plan accordingly.
