I have learned that in curriculum planning it is very important that you know what are the
mission, vision and goal of the learning institution. It follows a systematic way that always ends with
evaluation to know if the curriculum designed is effective, need revision or change to meet the
needed result of the learning institution. The curriculum give subject matters that are aligned the
learning institutions goals, mission and vision. It might change incase the curriculum is revised or
change. The teacher acts as the one who put into action the content of the curriculum and will help in
the evaluation process. If changes and revisions are made in the curriculum, teachers will also adjust
or cope up with the changes to meet the needed result. The learners will be the most to benefit to the
curriculum implemented because they can use it or apply it in the future to be more productive in the
community. If changes or revisions were made then it means that curriculum implemented for the
learners is not able to meet the needed result and will have revision or total change in curriculum.
Principles in effective curriculum design help in choosing or to have an effective curriculum that will
help learners nurture their talent and to become a better version of themselves. Teachers became
effective teachers if the curriculum is effective based on the outcome or the final result. Changes
might occur but it depends on the learning needs or improvement needed to attain the mission, vision
and goal of the learning institution. Coping up with the changes in the community also might affect the
curriculum that sometimes curriculum is revised or change. Teachers have a great impact in the
curriculum implementation because they are the one who put into action of what the content of the
curriculum are and they will know if their way of teaching is effective. As for me if I am given a chance
to design a curriculum, I will always consider the mission, vision, and goal of the learning institution
and become active or observe during the implementation and in the evaluation. If it is not suitable and
did not attain the needed result, I will accept and make changes or revise to have a result that meets
the mission, vision, and goal of the school.
