1. Carefully read the following:

Grow Management Consultants is a consultancy company specialising in


leadership development services. These services include:
Mentoring training
 Coaching
 Management consultation
 Management program evaluation
 Development of cutting-edge tools, resources and expert advice
 Sharing best and next practices
 Leading organisations through the process of creating a leadership
culture
 Recognising and celebrating excellence in leadership.
The company has a CEO, a General Manager (newly appointed), an
Operations Manager, five Principal Consultants, twelve trainers and a small
HR team. The company also has a Board consisting of the CEO and General
Manager, as well as two Executive Directors who are company shareholders.
A new Strategic Plan was recently developed to guide the organisation over
the next three years. One of the key objectives of the Strategic Plan is for
Grow Management Consultants to become established as a learning
organisation.
You are the newly appointed General Manager and the CEO has given you
the task of developing, implementing and monitoring an organisational
learning strategy for the company, as the first step towards establishing
Grow Management Consultants a learning organisation.
Before you commence this task, you should ensure that you are familiar with
the company’s Strategic Business Plan and its objectives in relation to
learning and development, as well as the human resources policies and
procedures that are in place.

2. Write a learning strategies report

3. Consult with senior management

Now that you have completed the research, it’s time to consult with the
senior management team to:
 outline your findings and ideas
 discuss the impact of your recommendations on the organisation
 examine and review the options for deploying new policies and
procedures needed across the organisation
Go through each section of your report, asking for the other Managers’
feedback on what you have written and discuss their ideas and opinions.
You are required to pay particular attention to the language that you use
during the meeting. Your vocabulary and the way that you communicate
should be appropriate to your audience.
During the meeting, you are required to demonstrate effective
communication skills including:
 Speaking clearly and concisely using language relevant to the audience
 Using non-verbal communication to assist with understanding

Me: Hello. Good morning all of you. How is the work going on?
Meeting attendees: Good morning, sir. It’s going good.
Me: I appreciate your time in addressing a few of my observations and
suggestions. Now let us begin the meeting.
Meeting attendees: Okay sir.
Me: New rules and regulations might be implemented in different ways
across the company. While I work through this, please feel free to give me
your complete attention and help. And at the end of my discussion, if there
are any remarks, ideas, points of view, or suggestions that you'd like me to
stress, kindly let me know.
Meeting attendees: Sure sir we will give our best.
Me: This study was done to develop learning strategies that were based on
the strategic business strategy of the company as well as other rules and
regulations.

Meeting attendees: Can you please elaborate more?
Me: To mention a few, the company does not provide ongoing training, there
is a serious lack of data flow, and data recording is laborious.Themes that
are important to organizational learning include a number of them. The first
is regular team meetings to assess employee development and performance
as well as to improve their social skills. The second is the recording of
performance reviews and learning opportunities.
Meeting attendees: Different types of strategies should be planned to
improve the overall performance of the organization. Have you made any
kinds of future plan which can enhance the performance?
Me: The workforce would gather and exchange data, such as personal
experience and expertise, in group sessions, which may be dispersed across
employees to be examined for practical solutions. This is one of the best
practices I've included in my research. To boost employee performance, self-
evaluations might be conducted more often.
Meeting attendees: Now could you please describe about the human resource
practice in the organization? Is there any change that you have brought in the
HR practice of the organization? Because sometimes such changes may
benefit the organization if properly planned.
Me: Some of the changes in recruitment and selection is also planned and
implemented; now it should be followed properly by the HR team. Although
they are currently ineffective, the rules and processes for hiring, selecting,
and indoctrination are appropriate. The strategy necessitates HR staff
members to actively participate in several redundant procedures, which
might in certain cases result in substantial time waste.
Meeting attendees: Is there any other thing we need to focus?
Me: We also need to give high priority for the online platform to attract the
clients. They should be followed properly. Now, if you have any kinds of
information that you would like to suggest than you can say. We can discuss
it right now also.

in the workplace.
Me: OH, I forget to tell about it we have also planned to implement different

4. Design and develop an organisational learning strategy

Using the feedback that you received at the meeting as well as the
information you researched and evaluated for your report, create a draft
organisational learning strategy for Grow Management Consultants.
Your strategy should:
 Address the overall organisational requirements for an organisational
learning strategy, as well as specific instructor and learner requirements,
building on from the Learning Strategies Report you developed.
 Include relevant units of competency as given in the feedback provided
to you at the meeting
 Set out the learning and assessment strategies that you have developed
while researching you report and during the meeting. Each strategy

circumstances or priorities.

5. Write learning and development policy and procedures.

Your policy and procedures should include the following:

developed
 Purpose, setting out the document’s objectives
 Duties and responsibilities of staff and line managers.

need as outlined.

Social media: Yes, trainers may use social media as a tool. Social media
may be extremely effective training and development tools, despite the
oddity of the idea. If you haven't noticed, there has been an enormous
increase in the use of well-known social media sites including Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. This alone indicates
that your students like to hang out here when they have some free time.
Connecting with students on their preferred platforms as a trainer is a great
approach to customize the learning process. Additionally, be sure to

establish Facebook groups or other small social media communities to
encourage discussion among your learners about their training.
