Re: Proficiency Watch Program

FO Blakely:

The Atlas Air Flight Operations Training Manual regulates what training is required for you as a crewmember. As a
result of your repetitive need for additional training, you have been placed in the Proficiency Watch Program (PWP).

Proficiency Watch Program

The Company has established a Proficiency Watch Program to monitor and improve the performance of the following
Flight Crewmembers:
 A Flight Crewmember who fails to complete a training or qualification event satisfactorily
 A Flight Crewmember whose performance has been determined by an ERB (Event Review Board) to not
have met Company standards and is re-entered into training or qualification events
 Flight Crewmembers who have demonstrated a repetitive need for additional training.

PWP Duration
 6 months from the date of the re-qualification event

PWP Structure:
 Total duration is six months
 3 months after the re-qualification event, the Flight Crewmember will return for Recurrent Flight Training (RFT)
 6 months after the re-qualification event, the Flight Crewmember will return for a PCWU and PC
 Within the duration of the PWP, a line check will be conducted on the Flight Crewmember
 A Flight Crewmember who successfully accomplishes all events of the PWP will be released from the PWP

If all training/checking events are satisfactory at the end of the six (6) month period, the crewmember will be removed
from the program. Checking/Training events completed in conjunction with PWP do not affect, nor change a
crewmember’s base month for training.

You will be contacted by the Training Department with the schedule for the required events.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please feel free to contact me at any time.
