MESSAGE

Dear YJ Hwang /DY Won ,

Please find the attached Engineer's observation report regarding the "non-conformance related to 1) corrosion on lift accessories 2) Lift door
details are differ from approved model  3) unprotected  control panel 4) openings at fire separation walls at machine rooms and elevators of
building 4" which is self explanatory. 

The Engineer advises HKN to address the non-conformances reported in the attached report.

Further, Contractor is advised to submit no later than 20th December 2021, rectification plan/preventive measures and program that
includes start and completion dates.

Location Lift Shaft


Observation Pitting corrosion/ rusting emerged in the Lift shaft accessories.
Note: Below photographs attached relate to few locations

Recommendation Severely damaged components shall be replaced and remains shall be treated to
prevent condition get worst.

Location Lift Landing doors


Observation As per the elevator door fire test certificates in the HKN-MSB-LE-0002 Sup 01, door
Jamb and door edges shall have special enclosing arrangement as extracted below to
prevent fire propagation

However, it is observed that the lift landing door end construction is differ than the
proposed model in the MSB, and also at some portions even clear gap can be seen
without end plate.

Recommendation Landing Doors shall be replaced with approved model.

Location Lift Machine Room


Observation Lift machine rooms are not cleaned and free from dust/debris. Also, significant dust
accumulation in lift control panels which are in operation.

Recommendation Rooms shall be cleaned and all the control panels shall be vacuumed with immediate
interruption. Present situation could lead to permanent damage of electronic and
electrical components.

Observation Passive Fire protections are not applied.

Recommendation Passive Fire protections shall be applied to form fire separation.
