SUBJECT: Release of a New Torque Converter Pump Hub Gasket

EQUIPMENT AFFECTED: MT 640, MT(B) 643, MT 650, MT(B) 653

SERIAL NUMBER BREAK: 2430600150

Introduction:
A new torque converter pump hub gasket has been released for all MT 600 transmission using a 300 series torque
converter. The new gasket, P/N 29536726, replaces the former gasket P/N 29524795. New gasket P/N 29536726
enhances sealing by not using silicone which was used on the former gasket.
Interchangeability:
The new gasket P/N 29536726 is FULLY interchangeable with the former gasket without regards to the transmission
serial number.

Service Parts Information:

All former loose gaskets, P/N 29524795, will be scrapped with the availability of the new gasket P/N 29536726. All
service kits will be reworked, all new service kits will require new gasket P/N 29536726. Parts are available from the
Allison Transmission Parts Distribution Center. See below for the affected service kit part numbers.

New vs. Former Part Identification:

The former gasket, P/N 29524795, can be identified by the presence of the silicone bead on one side which is not present
on the new gasket, P/N 29536726 (see Figure 1).

Affected Service Kits:

When the new gasket, P/N 29536726, is available it will replace the former gasket, P/N 29524795, in the following service
kits:
