According to Park E. & Widyanta A.

(2019), due to its adaptability in contributing

to the socio-cultural and environmental aspects of tourism, food tourism has drawn
greater attention. This tourist perspective has been extremely beneficial for food tourism
research as well as tourism studies. Without linking them to the local foodscape, food
tourism experiences cannot be described.

promote the destination's reputation, and promote the growth of regional businesses,

According to Chan R.R. (2020), a place's rich and distinctive culture and history
are defined and identified by its food. Visitors can ask a resident to direct them to a
location where they can see and taste the local specialties and delectable foods.
Culinary tourists are said to be bold because they want to discover and eat strange
delicacies that aren't typically made and served in a restaurant. The desire of tourists to
eat cuisine prepared and cooked in a traditional and authentic manner.

Moreover, culinary tourism explains how self-consciousness develops as a result

of our interactions with the unfamiliar, testing our understanding of what the future
holds. A unique experience results from an authentic dish. Since it enables us to
distinguish variations between various dishes, authenticity is essential to the
gastronomic tourism industry. Additionally, culinary travel created opportunities to
explore, test, and go beyond the bounds of the unknown. Exquisiteness results from the
culinary tourism's extreme unpredictability, which includes a change from one's regular
routine.

According to Alejandro A.M. (2022), it also serves as a means of introducing

visitors to the past—or, more precisely, to a certain perspective on the past—which can
subsequently have an impact on present and future culture. In addition to historical
locations, structures, oral traditions, culture and the arts, and so forth, food is also
regarded as cultural heritage since it shapes and defines a nation's identity. It is an
edible tradition that may be carried on to share a variety of stories about significant
historical occurrences that influenced and contributed to the way of life we have now.
Since food preparation methods may also be considered as cultural legacy, food is a
type of heritage that can be regarded as both tangible and intangible.
