P50A AND P110A SERIES

PNEUMATIC DIAPHRAGM ACTUATORS
The P50A and P110A Series Pneumatic Diaphragm Actuators are rugged, durable,
and high performance devices. These Actuators convert air signal pressure to force and
motion and have been adapted to the family of control valves. They can also be
used in industrial applications when precise loading or positioning is required.

TIME-PROVEN, DEPENDABLE ACTUATORS REVERSIBLE LINEAR OR ROTARY ACTION

This family of Diaphragm Actuators have been time- and
field-proven for more than three decades. They are of
powdered-epoxy coated, die-cast aluminum construction,
and provide fast, accurate responses to changes in signal
pressure. Epoxy coating and enclosed spring enhance
corrosion resistance. Guides are ptfe-faced, spherical
bronze bushings located at top and bottom. Low friction
seals produce minimum dead band. Preformed nitrile-
nylon or neoprene-nylon diaphragm retains constant area
through the full stroke.
The actuator can be used for either air-to-open or air-to-
close action by a simple actuator reversing procedure.
Rotary drive assemblies are available with the P50A and
P110A devices requiring rotary action.
WIDE SELECTION OF STROKES AND SIGNAL
RANGES
Nominal strokes are offered from 11.1 to 57.2mm (0.437
to 2.25 in) with either of 20 to 100 or 40 to 200 kPa (3 to
15 or 6 to 30 psi) signal range.

SPRING RETURN TO ZERO LIGTH WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION

Upon loss of air signal, the spring will cause the actuator
to return to the zero pressure position to fully open or
close a valve. For actuator housings with optional
adjustable stop screws, the valve can fail to any
minimum or maximum position. The Actuator is a
failsafe device when properly applied.
SELECTION OF MOUNTING HARDWARE
The actuator can be provided with a selection of yoke
configurations for valve mounting, or can be supplied
without a yoke for close-coupling to a bracket to actuate
other devices. A selection of stem connections, that
compensate for misalignment, are also available.
The die-cast aluminum body construction is one-third the
weight of an equivalent cast iron body. This construction
provides for ease of handling and installation.
MANY OPTIONS AVAILABLE
Options are available to accommodate most user
applications. These options include: Top-Mounted
Handwheel Jackscrew, Limit Switch, Adjustable Stop
Screws, Integral Air Set, Electric Position Transmitter,
Pneumatic Positioner, Current-to-Pneumatic Signal
Converter, and Electro-Pneumatic Positioner. Also
available are solenoid valves, pressure regulators for use
with integral air set
